Scaling Teacher Professional Development
A Webinar Series on the Six Pillars of Equitable, High-Quality, and Efficient TPD Systems
About the Event
Join us for a dynamic seven-part webinar series, taking place from April to October 2026, that explores the essential components of effective, scalable Teacher Professional Development (TPD). Drawing on the latest research led by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) in collaboration with FIT-ED, this series introduces the Six Pillars of TPD—Policies, ICT, Supporting Capacities, Partnerships, Learning Design, and Communication Channels—providing a comprehensive roadmap for strengthening teacher growth at scale.
The series kicks off with a high-level overview of the full TPD research report and the six pillars, setting the stage for deeper dives in subsequent sessions. Each webinar focuses on a specific pillar, offering practical insights, examples from Southeast Asian countries, and strategies for fostering equity, quality, and efficiency in TPD systems.
Whether you are a policymaker, school leader, TPD practitioner, or development partner, this series offers a unique opportunity to explore innovative approaches, learn from regional experiences, and engage in discussions that can shape the future of Teacher Professional Development.
