Cambodia and Thailand Ink MoU to boost Technical Education Cooperation

CAMBODIA. The Khmer Times (10 May 2024)Cambodia and Thailand have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation to prepare technical education teaching and learning.

Cambodia’s Kampong Speu Institute of Technology, and Thailand’s Vocational Orientation Department CP ALL Public Co., Ltd., and Panyapiwat Technological College signed the MoU in Phnom Penh on May 7.

Piyawat Titasattavorakul, Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of Panyapiwat Technological College, said the deal indicates a new step for the partnership on education and social economy between Cambodia and Thailand.

Im Koch, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports, said it is a testament to the commitment to further strengthening and expanding the cooperation in the educational, scientific, and cultural sectors between the two countries.

The cooperation will facilitate the exchange of experience, mobility of students and teachers, joint study programme preparation, and networking among public educational institutions and the private sector.

It also opens doors for mutual recognition of certificates, a bilateral scholarship exchange programme, and joint research for higher education cooperation to build and develop the human resources of both nations.

The secretary of state also underlined the ministry’s education reform, which focuses on improving the quality of learning and teaching at all levels, integrating 21st-century skills, and green development. AKP
